Had a wonderful Christmas with my family...

I have a new years goal to keep up with my blogs a little better than I have in the past. Don't know how well I will keep that goal, but I do intend to take a stab at it. I spend a lot of time posting on facebook, which I really enjoy, but the sad part about facebook is that what we post there is gone whereas on our blogs what we post is there for much longer, perhaps indefinately.
well, back to our 2010 Christmas.. all my girls were able to come home and that in itself was a miracle getting them all here with all of their schedules and things. But God was good to me and let me have a lot of good quality times with them. My son in law and grandson also came and so my house was full of fun, laughter and happiness.
Israel Jacob is sooo smart. I would walk with him through the house while I had my walk away the pounds video on and when we would come to the step between my craft room and pantry I would stop and help him over the step and told him he needed to be very careful there so he wouldn't fall. we did this each time we came back around to that area. After awhile I noticed that when we got there he reached for the wall or table and held on while stepping down. He knew what to do without my helping him any longer.

He also enjoyed my music studio. I would allow him to play the keyboards and strum on the dulcimer and guitar. the dulcimer had a pick and I showed him he could use that pick to also strum the guitar. several times throughout their visit I would notice him go over to the dulcimer and get the pick and then strum the guitar. so cute. he also would try to carry the guitar around. I think i got a few pictures of these and will try to get them posted.

Jake would get an old towel and Israel would sit on the towel and hold on to the sides and Jake would pull Israel around and around and through the hallway saying "whee"... Israel loved it. i don't think we ever got a picture of them doing that, but it was so very sweet.

Mark and I got Israel and train engineer's outfit for Israel along with a train whistle. He is so adorable. Here is a picture of that.

Thank God for His love and mercy and for allowing me to have another day.
