I just finished listening to an archive sermon of last years PTT conference. I have my laptop computer online listening to it from Holy Ghost radio. I thank God for modern technology as it can be such an instrument used of God. Notice I said - it can be. that doesn't mean it always is. I remember one of the last sermons I heard Pastor Stovall preach when I lived in Ft Wayne.. he was talking about television being a marvelous invention and that if it was used properly professing the goodness of God on it that it should be in every home... much like the Shure microphone he was preaching from. He said that same microphone could be used to lift up the name of Jesus or a Rock star could use it to sing hellish notes from. Same with the internet and facebook. I know that some people think that the computer is a waste of time and don't know how I get everything I get done everyday and be on the computer to. But it is easy. I keep the computer online so I don't have to take time to turn it on and off for one thing... keep many windows open so I can go back and forth from my different sites. I have my studios side by side and so I listen to gospel music from visionsoutherngospel radio while working in my sewing/craft studio between my music lessons in my star of song studio. When I get an idea or think of something I want to say, I just go to facebook type it in and then go back to work. much easier than calling someone on the telephone or sending an email. But not everyone can do this and so I don't fault them, I just thank God that i can.
If it wasn't for the internet then I wouldn't even be able to hear these sermons that almost seem as if they are against the internet. but I know that the main warning is to not go to the many dangerous sites and parasites that are out there, same as with the television, books that we read, places we go, and even what we think. We have to be good stewards of our time, our finances, our technology, our belongings, etc. Everything we have is a gift from God for us to use for God, for His glory, for the uplifting of the saints and for soul winning. He is coming to soon for us to not use technology in any way that we can.
It is a tool for me to stay in contact with my daughters who moved far away so that they also can be used of God in many ways.
When I get confused by what I think others might think of me because of my being online 24/7 - I just have to remember to "Be still and know that God is God". He will be the one to order our steps and we must allow Him to use us in whatever ways that we can be used.
Use me Lord, Use my computer, Use my internet, Use my writings, my songs, my music, my lessons, my Penteencostal fashion and design ebay store, my Lisandlis etsy store, my hazelwoodusa ministry page, my podcast, my youtube video(s), my recipes, my blog, anything and everything... when I die, let this outlive me. Let it touch someone, be a light to someone. To know that when I sub in the public schools, I pray in school... when I sing at the nursing homes, I sing the message in public places, when I visit the elderly in their homes and senior centers, I testify of God.... when I play the piano at a Baptist church, I sing apostolic and anointed songs and testify and plant seeds of revelation and truth.... no matter where I am or what I do, Lord, most of all, I must and will be used of You!!
Thank God for His love and mercy and for allowing me to have another day.
