another thought!!

ok - I am getting my thoughts together for yet another article. today I was shelling pecans and of course none of them came out in halves but only in bits and pieces. I was thinking to myself - it would be so much easier just buying them instead of taking the time to do this.....

 

but then -I reasoned with myself that then I would not be able to experience what the Bible talks about when enjoying the fruits of ones labors. Yes, it it time consuming and hard work, but to be able to see how God designed the nut to be ...protected by a harder shell. that's like us, our souls are protected by the Shield of Faith, the Helmet of Salvation, The breastplate of righteousness, etc. A lot to be learned here. Also, a few of the nuts were bad and I noticed worms that looked exactly like a pecan in color and had ridges and if it wasn't moving, I could have been fooled. - wow, that also preaches!!

 

Thank God for His love and mercy and for allowing me to have another day.
