my soapbox sermon

I wish that guest preacher who filled in for Bro. Morris yesterday would have been alive at the time of the History of the early church. If he would have been appointed to preach in the upper room, when the jews asked men and brothern what shall we do? this guy could have said "you don't need to do one thing" you are... all dead. the dead can't do anything. However, I am alive and I must be saved!! :>

If what he said was true (which it most definately is not) - then we wouldn't even need to do anything. we would be dead then, for sure dead, because we have life and that more abundantly with Jesus living in us. Christ in us, the hope of glory! I am glad I repented of my sins, was buried in baptism (in the name of Jesus Christ God robed in ... See Moreflesh, crucified and resurected) and filled with the Holy Ghost (spirit of the deceased one, Jesus Christ). I feel sorry for that man and have placed him on my prayer list. He needs to not spend hours looking up scriptures that take you around in circles and lead no where. One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism, One God and Father of All.. any one who tries to get to heaven any other way is the same as a thief and a robber.
