Are we being Christian when we laugh when people write stories and jokes about witches and accept the Muslins as one of us? I have been thinking, what would Jesus do. Sure we are to be nice and follow peace with all men, but I am wondering where do we draw the line? Or do we just leave all of that up to God?
I am a member of the Word Weavers Writers group and it is supposed to be a Christian writing club. last month they judged the entries for the word weavers writers contest and I didn't say anything then, but then yesterday when I typed up the certificates I noticed that one of the winners was a short story about Witches, and a poem about a Muslin who thinks they are being treated unjustly because they feel they are the same as us but being treated differently. I know that God created the muslin as much as He created me, but my question to myself is, since this is a Christian writers group should we have even placed this entry as a winning entry? Same as the one about Witches. I haven't said anything to the group as I want to be Christian and not stir up strife, but still.... I can't help but wonder about all of this.
Thank God for His love and mercy and for allowing me to have another day.
