Yesterday I went to the Word Weavers Writers Group and took my friend Cindy Clark with me. there were 12 members there and it happened to be the day that we judged the entries for the contest. yay not... I wanted to write, but instead I had to read what others had written. Oh well, it was still fun being with my friends and all. Then after that Cindy and I went to take Ms Marilyn Tollerson the card that I had had everyone at WW to sign to tell her to get well. She (Marilyn) loved it. (She is at Southern Oaks Retirement Center). Then Cindy's husband Alan came to meet us and we went and ate at El Ranchitos. I had to leave before we were completely through as Mark wanted me to get home so he and I could go to Jackson. We went and watched a movie he had been wanting to see called the Bounty Hunters it was an action movie. Then after that he and I watched a movie that I wanted to see called "Letters To God"... it was a very good and touching movie about a boy with a brain tumor who wrote letters to God. They were really prayers. In the end he died, but his life made a huge impact on others. Mark and I both cried it was so sad, but made us appreciate the fact that God gave us healthy children. We are soooo blessed! Then we went and ate at Cracker Barrel.
Sunday we went to Hopewell, God had impressed on me to do songs about Life. Last week of course we celebrated the fact that Jesus was alive, and Because He Lives, but this week was about us having life and more abundantly. Bro Neal didn't know two of the songs that I sang today "He's A Wonderful Savior To Me" and "More Abundantly" these were songs out of the light blue songbook, we don't use that book very often. Then we sang "Leaning On The Everlasting Arms" - I sang "The Only Real Peace" and then at the end of service Mark and I sang "Daystar" or part of it, the guest speaker today was a Gideon Bible man and so it wasn't so much church church as normal, but still good. After church we ate at Jacks and then took our taxes information to Mr. Don Ellis. Tonight I didn't go to Calvary again, I haven't been in so long, but I did watch it on the webcast. Bro. Freels preached.
I plan on getting some Spring cleaning done this week,,,, it is Spring break and so I know I won't get called in to sub. I will still have lessons to teach, though a couple will not be coming as they are going out of town.
Marisa put some adorable pics on her facebook page of Israel Jacob. He is sooo adorable. I will try to save some to my computer and then load them on this blog. I am one proud GrandStar!!!
Thank God for His love and mercy and for allowing me to have another day.
