Today I started off the day by ignoring the ringing of the telephone as I was being summoned to come SUB. I have been recuperating from being overly exhausted and so sick this past weekend that I looked for a day with nothing sceduled (except for one guitar lesson in the evening). I washed my hair (which I wash in the sink) and did a load of laundry. Later on I cleaned out the cupboards in the pantry and washed my table linens. I made a crockpot of beans and ham, but not the traditional method. I used frozen cut (homestyle) greenbeans and some ham hock and let them simmer together in a little bit of water for about six hours on high. Closer to the time to serve them I added fresh ground pepper and a little salt. I made some corn bread and sweet tea too, and it was very good eats! I received my newest issue of Family Circle in the snail mail today and also a book that I had ordered from amazon. The book is "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever" it is a book that tells the story of 100 modern day hymns. Hymns that have been written or made popular within the last thirty years. I ordered another book online today, the Hal Leonard fake book of Classical music. I have had several students want to learn a few classical songs. Normally I teach Hymns and Gospel, but I think it will be okay to teach a few fun songs as well. I talked to Marisa on the phone today, she said my grandson had a little cold. Poor thing. She said he is rollng over now. I can just imagine how cute he must be. She said he found out he could roll over a few days ago and when he first did it, then he did it again and again. lol. What a doll! I finished another emboidered square tonight - kind of got behind on my one square a day schedule. So yeah, it has been a good Friday. I know I probably should have went and subbed as I told them I would be available on Friday's, but man did I ever enjoy having a day off.
Thank God for His love and mercy and for allowing me to have another day.
