seeing lots of gr8 posts on fb about super duper church 2day! You know since Christmas I have seen so many posts about people going on Daniel fasts, daily bible reading and devotions, door knocking and doing the works of the body of Christ. See, when we do what we are supposed to do - God does His part! Jesus is the Faithful One! (Yes that was our last year's Christmas theme, but it true from now until eternity... Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever!). I have been witnessing the hand of God in our ministries as well. today Bro. Morris preached about the "fire". he lit a candle and had it on the pulpit and talked about how a little candle like that really didn't do much good on it's own, but if he held his hand up over it, it did warm his hand a little. But then he went on and talked about how we are like that, we are little lights, but we need to put more fuel on our fire... the fuel being the Word.. and he told about how he would go to church and here a great sermon and get all motivated to do things for God and right as he was walking out the church door it was like the devil was waiting there for him with a bucket of water and that was it of his burning desire to be set on fire until the next good service.. but we can't be like that we have to let the fire burn bright. He talked about the fire of the Holy Ghost in Matthew and also in Acts 2 - about the tongues of fire sitting on each one of them. That is what it is going to take today - the Holy Ghost and Fire.. that zeal to live for God with all we've got. To not let others still our dreams and visions of working for the Lord. To have that rest, that comfort, that promise.
it was a GR8 sermon. Kim and I said we should have sang "Burning with the Holy Ghost!" but she couldn't think of the words, and neither could I, until I was driving home today and so I sang them at the top of my lungs to the steering wheel.
"Just like the day of Pentecost. when the Holy Ghost fell they began to speak in tongues Fire, Fire,... ...." Hallelujah... this promise is for you, your children, and to ALL that are afar off - even as many as the Lord, Our God shall Call!! (my motto is "enter any denomination and exit with the Apostolic Experience as Peter preached on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2."
I am excited because I know that HE who began a good work is able to complete it. He is doing it, and I am just glad to be a vessel that He can use to be a part of this great endtime revival.
Healings, miracles, dead raised back to life, people getting jobs, marriages going back together, people getting saved, people getting forgiveness, people learning how to love, people learning how to sacrifice, people learning to obey, people learning how to pray... all of this hand in hand for the perfection of the saints.
To God be ALL the Glory, Honor and Praise!!
Thank God for His love and mercy and for allowing me to have another day.
